Integrated Studies with Practise
The Faculty of Integrated Studies with Practice (FASTIP) is one of the six faculties of the University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës (UAMD), the first faculty in Albania to integrate academic studies with professional practice into equal relations. The only institution of Higher Public Education in Albania, which teaches in 70% of the English language modules and that the teaching is mainly conducted by foreign lecturers. The FASTIP model is based on the successful concept of dual study, practiced for the first time by the Professional Academies in the Land of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The core characteristic of this faculty, which is its philosophy of functioning, is: the combination of academic knowledge gained in the Faculty’s auditors with direct professional training in entrepreneurship. FASTIP started functioning in the academic year 2008-2009 with the Bank Management Program with National Commercial Bank (BKT). Currently, FASTIP offers three study programs, organized in modules and evaluated on credits, in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS):
- Bank Management;
- Small and Medium Enterprise Management;
- Hospitality and Tourism Management;
Immediately after the completion of the three-year study program, FASTIP student, benefits:
- Bachelor’s Degree – 180 credits (ECTS) issued by the University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës, which allows you to continue studying in Master programs in or out of the country, or hiring anywhere in the world.
- Contract of work by the company where it has conducted professional training for three years on the basis of academic performance and practical training.
